0.9.45-8 pushed on Saturday contains a change to the streaming library behavior that may be detectable at the far-end by a clever user.

In other words, somebody connecting to a destination on a 0.9.45-8 or higher router may be able to determine that that destination is running on a development build. There are no known issues that would cause that destination to be correlated with a particular router.

Additional streaming changes in the coming days may also be detectable in a similar manner.

If this is unacceptable to you or your threat model, please do not update to 0.9.45-8 or higher dev build, and wait for the 0.9.46 release, currently scheduled for late May.

Note: while -8 contains an important streaming bug fix, the benefits of it are probably not measurable out in the real network.

Fixes that do have noticeable benefits are coming soon.
